How do I make my own CBR, CBZ files?

Brian here again.
On this page I want to teach you how to make your own cbr files. It is easy to do,once you understand how to do it.

First thing you will need to download WINRAR or WINZIP from these links below:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winrar.html

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winzip.html

You can either buy the full programs or just put up with the nag screen(you’ll still be able to use it free, just annoying over time) How it is done, is this way.Place all comic scans into a folder and rename them in page order, eg. 001 002 003 and then archive the files using WinZip, WinRAR or other compression software that has a archive feature.

For Example.Download these 3 files and put them into a file called test-run,which you will then use to achieve with.Never mind the picture sample below with them out of a folder.I did that as an example, just click on your new folder and press achieve like in picture below. I added these 3 files to use with picture links,so you have to have a sample to work with, so it easier to understand when you use with WINRAR:

CBR SAMPLE IMAGE ONE-100

CBR SAMPLE IMAGE TWO-002

CBR SAMPLE IMAGE THREE-003

Then while still using the achieve feature change the name from test-run.rar to test-run.cbr like in the picture below.

I personally like to use WINRAR because it is super easy to archive and rename cbr’s with. Now just rename them with the different extentions. Remember .zip files are .cbz; .rar files are .cbr; and .tar files are .cbt. (After this is done,Viewers, like CDisplay, can read .all of these file formats, among other extensions on your PC or MAC, but remember the de facto standard has become .cbr and .cbz. I recommend you use these two formats.

Yep using WINRAR makes it super easy to archive and rename cbr’s when they are packed in regular folder. That is all there is to it.

Easy told you.
